About the roleMater's Digital Technology and Information team has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Digital Infrastructure Specialist to join us in a 20-month contract, starting in November 2024.
Reporting to the Resource Manager and located at our corporate office in Newstead, this position will focus on the design, deployment, and management of virtual servers.Salary range: $114,746 - $122,915 (MCA 6) p/a plus 11.5% superannuation and + What you'll be doing Lead the professional, timely and effective infrastructure support services including the identification and resolution of complex DTI troubleshooting activitiesIndependently lead small to medium projects Determine and prioritise configuration changes/updatesLiaise with Applications and other teams to ensure the smooth operation of IT Infrastructure servicesManage user acceptance testing routines and develops infrastructure requirements for test conditionsActively participate in the resource management processTroubleshoot complex business processes and system issuesLead the creation and review of IT infrastructure management documentation and processesDevelop and design specialised technical infrastructure solutions within area of specialityContribute to the maintenance of the technology Enterprise Architecture and Target Technical Architecture (TTA)Provide advice to other IT teams, projects and IT leadership regarding technology, implementation approaches, resourcing and operational requirementsParticipate in project planning, design, and architecture of new systems and technologiesUndertakes research and provides expert advice and recommendations on the technology environmentProvide subject matter expertise within a body of knowledge or specialty, applying highly developed analytical skillsAssist in the development and delivery of training programs for team membersIssue management within defined SLA's About you A tertiary degree in the area of subject matter expertise or Information Technology is highly desirableEducation or training in information technology and industry certifications are highly desirableITIL Foundation is desirable.
Technical CompetenciesA minimum of five years' experience in critical IT support and delivery environmentsExtensive experience in VMWare Technologies including, VMware vSphere, vCenter, VMware vSAN, VMware NSXProven experience in the project delivery and BAU management around Windows Servers and virtualisation in a large organisationAbility to support and promote a client focused customer service delivery cultureAbility to demonstrate experience in IT systems implementation or project coordinationDemonstrated high-level of interpersonal and both written and oral communicationsDemonstrated ability to manage diverse activities and prioritiesAbility to function individually and compatibly with team membersAbility to lead and mentor less senior staff and share knowledge, experience and expertiseEffectively manages multiple and changing priorities with sometimes conflicting deadlines Why join us?
