You'll enhance instrumentation and monitoring, manage development tools such as source control and CI/CD platforms, and oversee cloud database storage platforms.You'll also ensure information security by refining policies and procedures, track cloud expenditure, propose cost reduction initiatives, and manage system access requests. Additionally, you'll provide strategic advice to improve our systems architecture, focusing on cloud capabilities, operations, and costs.Your FocusOperation & management of our cloud-based environmentsWorking closely with the Engineering and Product teams to assist in implementing solutions and solving problemsBe the subject matter expert with respect to our AWS environmentImplementation of continuous build & deployment pipelines for both application and infrastructure assetsBe a go-to person for maintaining & deploying infrastructure-as-code assetsDevelop improved instrumentation and monitoring with our platforms to enable better issue identification & resolutionManagement of development tools such as source control, CI/CD platforms, IDE licensing, & other local development environment tool subscriptionsManage operations for cloud database storage platforms (both RDBMS & no-SQL)Stewardship & improvements of the policies & procedures to ensure information security when operating in the cloudProvide advice to improve our systems architecture with cloud capability, operations, & costs in mindCloud expenditure tracking & management including proposing cost reduction initiativesManaging, monitoring, and fulfilling access management requests to our systems & servicesAbout YouExperience working with AWS cloud platform (and Azure is highly regarded)Deep understanding of fundamentals of infrastructure (Windows & Linux), networking (DNS, TCP/IP, etc), and automationExperience & knowledge of working in agile software development teams using concepts based on ScrumFamiliarity with high availability web application & micro-service architectures and hosting platforms e.g. Kubernetes, IIS, etc.Familiarity with common web application infrastructure components such as CDNs, internet gateways, routing, and firewallsUnderstanding of web application fundamentals such as client vs server-side technologies, JavaScript, CSS, and HTMLGreat communication skills with a flexible & adaptable approach to designing solutions and sharing ideasStrong understanding of:Code repository management with GitCI/CD pipeline development e.g. GitHub Actions, Jenkins, CircleCI, TeamCity, etc.Containerisation technologies e.g. DockerAutomation using scripting (or other) technologies e.g. bash, shell, PowerShellDeployments using infrastructure-as-code CDK is required, CloudFormation, Terraform, ARM templates, etc beneficialVirtual machine management in a cloud environment e.g. EC2, Azure VM, etc.Deployment to container orchestration platforms e.g. Kubernetes, ECS Fargate, etc.In the fast moving cashback category, Cashrewards has powered ahead of its rivals and taken the lead, serving over 2 million members with an enticing range of cashback offers from more than 2000 brand partners including Apple, Amazon, Myer, Adidas, Bonds, Target, Booking.com and The Iconic.
