The Opportunity
33 Alfred St, Sydney's first skyscraper and an icon of the city skyline is being reimagined for a new future of work. Dexus is seeking a diligent, dedicated and delivery focused Senior Development Manager / Project Director to join us on a 12-month Fixed Term contract. You will be responsible for the project and team's success in executing on the project strategy, against agreed milestones and metrics, bringing it all together through to handover and customer onboarding. To be effective in this leadership role, office development experience, a collaborative nature and demonstrated stakeholder management skills are critical.

Leading and driving performance of the development whilst establishing a project culture that unifies the project team, drives for continuous improvement and team professional development.
Providing exemplary people management and team leadership skills which promotes corporate goals and values, while permitting personal development, growth, and experience for team members.
Maintaining responsibility for the successful conclusion of the project by providing leadership, strategically managing risk, forward planning, monitoring commercial requirements and ensuring program compliance.
Managing stakeholder communication channels (internally and externally) including providing clear, effective, and engaging communication materials distributed to various stakeholder groups across a range of channels to achieve various communication goals.
Fostering overarching relationships with and between the Contractor, Project team, incoming Customers and Principal to develop a collaborative 'best for project' outcome.
Maintaining oversight and managing compliance with all agreements (including Agreements for Lease), appointments and engagements on behalf of the Owners, as necessary to complete the development and onboarding of commercial tenants.
Oversight and management of project completion and project certification – completion of base building works, testing, commissioning (including all building technology), documentation, handover. Coordination of Superintendent, Independent Certifiers and other statutory stakeholders. Establishment of defect management process.
Overseeing delivery and compliance of Agreement for Leases, onboarding customer fitout contractors, coordination of fitout and base building works through to fitout completion and oversight of fitout completion and reinstatement of base building conditions.

About You
You are a highly experienced Senior Development Manager with a strong background in construction, particularly in premium grade office buildings. You will bring at least 12 years' experience in project delivery, with a proven track record of successfully closing out and handing over complex projects with tier 1 contractors. You possess significant technical capability and demonstrate exceptional stakeholder management skills, especially in managing competing priorities and multiple stakeholders. You are adept in handling challenges, contractual complexities and working under time and cost pressures. Your previous experience enables you to quickly get up to speed, drive outcomes and add value.
