Senior Development Compliance OfficerSalary $106,323.88 to $123,335.16 p / a + superPermanent Full Time (35 hours p / w)Workplace located at GordonLeaseback Vehicle OfferedAbout Ku-ring-gai CouncilLocated 16 km north of the Sydney CBD, the Ku-ring-gai area covers 84km², is home to 124,000 residents and is set in one of New South Wales' most attractive natural environments.About the roleReporting to the Team Leader Compliance, Health & Building, your duties will include, but are not limited to:Ensuring that development and land use in Ku-ring-gai complies with relevant legislation, planning instruments, Council policies, and development consents.Investigation and reporting of illegal building works and non-complying development.Audit of completed developments to ensure continued compliance with conditions.Issue Penalty Infringements, Notices, Orders, certificates, and correspondence from investigations and substantiated complaints in accordance with relevant legislation.Collection of evidence for presentation to the courts.Qualifications, skills & experienceTertiary qualifications in building construction and inspection, development control, land use, or a related discipline.Eligibility for accreditation as a Building Surveyor on the Fair Trading NSW Register.Experience in regulation and management of development and land use within a similar organisation.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.Ability to work effectively in a team as well as independently.Ability to interpret and apply legislation and policies.Current Class C Driver's Licence.Benefits35-hour working week.Flexible Working Arrangements available.Health & Fitness $100 yearly reimbursement (conditional).Free confidential Employee Assistance Program.Beautiful Ku-ring-gai Location.Supportive team environment.Access to a wide range of development and training opportunities.Novated Lease options available for private use vehicles.How to applyApplicants are required to address all Essential Criteria listed in the Position Description to be eligible for an interview.Like to know more?
