An engineering company that works within the heavy industrial space (mechanical, structural, civil) is looking to hire a Senior Designer to produce Inventor mainly and CAD 2d and 3d designs, with some use of Solidworks software from time to time.Reporting to the Drawing Office Manager you will be required to combine your engineering skills with practical experience to produce 3D design solutions for your dedicated portfolio of clients.

Client & Engineer:
An engineering company that works within the heavy industrial space (mechanical, structural, civil) is looking to hire a Senior Designer to produce Inventor mainly and CAD 2d and 3d designs, with some use of Solidworks software from time to time.Reporting to the Drawing Office Manager you will be required to combine your engineering skills with practical experience to produce 3D design solutions for your dedicated portfolio of clients.
Key Responsibilities:Lead your design projects from initial concept through to completionCreate accurate and detailed mechanical and structural technical drawings and models using AutoCAD & INVENTOR softwareSkeletal modeling to facilitate design criteria to create components for relevant criteria (design dimensions, constraints, parameters)Design of Conveyors, Chutes, Drags, Walkways, Elevators, and more (multi-skilled)Liaise with Sales Engineers, Project Managers, and Engineers to ensure that the designs meet project requirements following AS StandardsGenerated detailed 3D models and advanced assemblies, weldments, and drawings and recorded BOMsCarrying out design review documents and liaising with Technical Writers to make sure accurate reports are recordedDesigning/modifying support tower, Chutes, drags, over silo walkways, and bucket Elevator as per requirement
To apply you will have:Full working rights in AustraliaAbility to evaluate a sales brief and produce 3D CAD designsAt least 5 years of design experienceExcellent 3d design and detailing skills - Inventor or SolidworksStrong presentation and negotiation skillsAbility to record own BOM's
Salary:
Our client offers competitive remuneration packages, they vary with regards to experience, $85,000 to $110,000 + Super (depending on experience).
