The opportunity The Senior Design Manager Furniture, Fixture and Equipment (FF&E) will be responsible for overseeing the development of the FF&E scope for the new Parkville Precinct Redevelopment Project (PPR) through each of the project phases from concept through to project completion and handover.
The primary purpose of the Senior Design Manager - FF&E is to co-ordinate the design process and undertake design reviews on the PPR project.
The role will also provide authoritative specialist input into the development and delivery of design and technical requirements for VHBA's High Value High Risk (HVHR) capital projects.
Participate in key design activities, such as user and reference groups and design submissions and the parameters of the Development Phase Program.Review design submissions and contribute to design development, addressing clinical functions, furniture fittings & equipment, technology and systems, and operational services.Co-ordinate safety in design risks and issues, in consultation with VHBA, RMH and the Women's Hospital.Coordinating and reviewing stakeholder comments for compliance with the Project's contractual framework and PSDR.Review construction activities to ensure compliance with design documentation, maintaining a personal daily log of events relating to design management, providing monthly status reports for submission to the Project's Design Director.We are looking for: Significant experience in procurement, planning and integration of FF&E within acute hospitals including an understanding of acute hospital services.Demonstrated ability to develop and implement project management processes, methods, tools, guidelines and standards to improve the probability of successful project delivery.Demonstrated ability in managing risks and issues related to the design, delivery, commissioning and handover of FF&E.Interested in working with VHBA?
