About the Role Base Location: Flexible, however our preference is that you will be based in one of our key UK sites, which includes but is not limited to: Glasgow, Perth, Aberdeen, Inverness, Reading and Havant
Salary: £63,000 - £94,400 + car allowance + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.
Working Pattern: Fixed Term Contract until approx. April 2028 | Full Time | Flexible First options available
The Senior Delivery Lead will be responsible for leading our Cyber Centre of Excellence - delivering Cyber Resilience IT and Cyber Resilience OT (Operational Technology) programmes and projects.
You will be accountable for end-to-end delivery of the product lifecycle and product roadmap via multiple delivery teams through the use of best practice methodologies, ensuring effective control over costs and resourcing enabling the delivery of business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities for this role will include: Leading technology delivery of Cyber IT/OT programmes and projects using Agile and Waterfall delivery approaches with a focus on tangible business outcomes. Establishing and maintaining highly effective relationships with multiple delivery teams, central teams, stakeholders at all levels and business teams to ensure that interfaces work correctly and continually improve the approach the Business Unit takes on delivering value to its business. Ensuring successful transition to service, ensuring change lands well and meets business and IT/OT operations needs. Leading on the management of 3rd parties, reviewing their performance and providing oversight, and ensuring alignment with SSE's ways of working and values. Realising the product objectives and key results as defined in the product roadmap – lead and manage other delivery roles to ensure they are also doing this. What do I need? To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:
Extensive experience of delivering complex Cyber IT/OT programmes, demonstrating and meeting business value and outcomes with the ability to develop countermeasures and contingency plans associated with significant delivery risk. Supporting budget and funding submissions, advocating for the correct level of funding to deliver against the products business and operational requirements. In-depth understanding of IT/OT products, services and systems with experience of Operational IT/Operational Technology/Critical National Infrastructure preferred. Ideally skilled in a number of project management / change management approaches, in particular Agile delivery, as well as Prince2, APM and PMP. Excellent organisation and communication skills with the ability to engage with stakeholders across all levels.
