Help Desk & IT Support (Information & Communication Technology) Full time A leading ICT services and technology company is seeking an experienced Oracle Production Support DBA based in Perth CBD, with flexible work-from-home options. The role involves managing the installation, configuration, maintenance, support, and security of numerous Oracle production databases in both on-premise and IaaS/PaaS environments. Oracle EBS experience is desirable, and training in technologies like Data CyberSecurity, MS SQL Server, MySQL, and PostgreSQL will be offered. Vendor certification is encouraged and supported.
What you'll be doing: Monitor database system resources and performance ensuring that they meet agreed customer SLA's. Action customer Service Requests, and problem/incident management. Install, create, configure, upgrade, and monitor databases to ensure optimum performance. Evaluate, recommend, manage, and execute patching and upgrades. Manage database security and integrity, availability, backup, restore, and recovery systems. Provide 24/7 Database Production Support as needed. Undertake customer projects as needed. Work effectively as part of a team, share knowledge with other team members, and provide guidance and advice. Strong experience with complex environments (on-premise SQL Server, Azure managed instances, SSAS, CRM, and Azure Dataverse). Proficiency with IaaS environments: Azure and AWS. Skilled in High Availability setups (SQL Clusters, Always-On, AGs). Installation and management of SQL Server Reporting and Integration Services. Strong experience in complex environments (on-premise, OCI, AWS). Experience with IaaS/PaaS environments: OCI, Azure, AWS. High Availability management (RAC, ASM, Data Guard). Backup/recovery expertise using RMAN. Experience with Exadata/ODA, Forms, Reports, PL/SQL, Java, Enterprise Manager, SOA, WebLogic, JVM. What you'll need: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent experience. Certification in Oracle and/or SQL Server Database Administration is desirable.
