Senior Database Administrator

Job Description: Senior Database Administrator to provide backfill support to the Enterprise Systems team within ITDS branch.
This position involves primarily Oracle database related products, but skills in MySQL/MariaDB will be advantageous.
 Key responsibilities will include: Daily queue jobs Operational tasks Project work (as required) Participation in a rotating on call roster, including after hours and weekends, is a requirement for this role.
In addition to on call, some out of hours work may be required for this role.
Extensive recent experience in designing, installing, and managing large corporate Oracle databases.
Extensive recent experience implementing and maintaining database security and access controls to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of data assets.
Experience installing, configuring, and managing advanced Oracle database features and related software.
Experience designing and implementing high availability strategies, performing backups/recoveries, carrying our monitoring, tuning, cloning, scripting, patching and upgrades.
Experience in management of a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders to ensure collaborative work practices.
Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to provide a high-level of customer service focus and key stakeholder engagement\ Desired skills  MySQL/MariaDB
