9 + 6 + 6 month contract - ASAP Start $125 - $150 per hour (inc-Super) NV1 Security Clearance required Adelaide, Canberra or Melbourne Address Our client, a large Federal Government Organisation, is seeking the experience of a Cyber Security Risk Management Specialist for a 9 + 6 + 6 month contract based in Adelaide, Melbourne or Canberra.
Duties of the Cyber Security Risk Management Specialist Review and provide advice to improve cybersecurity documentation for client networks and systems. Review and provide advice on plans to improve the effectiveness of cybersecurity controls required for implementation as a condition of system authorisation to operate. Review and revise briefing material and reports on relevant cyber security matters to senior leadership (SES). Contribute to curating the Information Security Management System (ISMS) documentation suite to maintain compliance and client certification against the ISO 27001 standard. Contribute to ISO 27001 internal audit functions to improve the cybersecurity risk posture of client research networks and systems. Undertake reconciliation of client SN Master database with Defence ICT Inventory System (DIIS). Provide support to the client Certification and Accreditation Coordination (CACC) processes, including scheduling system assessment, monitoring and reporting of compliance with system conditions to operate, responding to stakeholder queries, etc. Skills and Experience Required Demonstrated GRC experience in an enterprise environment (min 3 years). Knowledge of cyber security frameworks, standards and regulations (e.g., ISM, PSPF, Essential 8, NIST). Ability to communicate in a clear, concise and articulate manner with a broad range of technical, researcher and senior managerial stakeholders. IRAP, CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CISA, CISM, SSCP certifications will be well regarded. Relevant experience contributing to cybersecurity risk assessment and governance audit in a complex enterprise environment. Relevant experience of participation in ISMS functions, reporting and support to ISO 27001 internal security risk audit. Depth of knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, standards and regulations and capacity to apply security principles when providing cyber advice to clients and colleagues.
