The Data Super Group (DSG) at Lendi group is a growing family of diverse data enthusiasts who have been achieving great results with collaboration, passion, and grit.
The Data Science team is one of the smaller teams within the DSG team.
As a Senior Data Scientist, you will work on some of the most intriguing challenges that the Lendi group faces.
Job DescriptionThe role involves using advanced analytics, machine learning and broader data science techniques to build solutions for these challenges and demonstrate value to the business.
It will cover solution scoping and design, as well as development and integration into stakeholder business units.
The role requires curiosity and desire to understand stakeholder and user contexts, and the ability to explain complex solution design to non-technical stakeholders.
You will drive the delivery of data science solutions across a wide range of business problems including:
AI agent development and embeddingClassification systemsQualificationsPassionate about data science, machine learning, deep learning, you are a true problem solver who is always learning and growing.
You bring a consultative approach, that ties technical skills with building trust with stakeholders, and tying solutions to their objectives and context.
4+ years of experience as a Data Scientist or related working experienceKnowledge and experience of using a variety of machine learning and advanced analytics techniques and their real-world advantages/drawbacks/tuning techniques such as clustering, decision tree learning, neural networks etcExperience in the full lifecycle of developing, deploying, and maintaining machine learning models, data preparation, feature engineering, model training and MLOps.Proficiency in Python and SQL and one or more machine learning frameworksInterest in GenAI and LLMs (prompt engineering, RAG, LLMOps, fine tuning, guardrails etc)Experience with data visualisation libraries and products (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau, dash, shiny etc)Very detail oriented is expected to ensure a high level of quality in report, data, and model analysisProven skills in translating analytics output to actionable insights, recommendations and commercial outcomes.Work with cross-functional teams to understand where and when different models or analyses should be used and can create value.Additional InformationWe're Flex First which means we've fully embraced flexible working from home and have metropolitan city offices for those who do want to work from the office.We offer extended Paid Parental Leave: we celebrate our growing Lendi Group family with up to 26 weeks leave for primary carers and up to 4 weeks for secondary carers.An additional week's Loyalty Leave each year after reaching 3 years' service.We are a people-first company that invests in initiatives to promote a healthy work environment, such as offering an Employee Assistance Program and social groups such as our industry-leading Women in Technology group.
