To realise our vision we need a Senior Data Scientist with exceptional analytical skills, demonstrated collaboration and expertise in SQL and Python to elevate our data-driven strategies.

What we're looking for The main responsibilities of this role include:
Drive data projects to boost customer engagement metrics (including purchase frequency, average order value) and revenue.
Identify data science opportunities, formulate, execute, and manage data science projects across the business.
Develop AI/ML models working with cross-functional teams/stakeholders for internal decision making (Category Management, Marketing, Buying, etc).
Create customer-facing features/tools to enhance engagement and sales.
Oversee model productionisation and guide maintenance/monitoring set-up with the development team.
Lead end-to-end ML project management and insights delivery (including data gathering, data cleansing, feature engineering, analysis, model development and evaluation, and clear articulation of insights using compelling visual and written outputs).
Collaborate with data and AI teams to refine solutions and standards.
Coach teams on effective model use and value creation.
Utilise AI tools to enhance solution effectiveness.
Leverage AI resources within Temple & Webster's ecosystem.
What you already have Minimum qualifications include:
Minimum 7 years of Data Science or Machine Learning experience in deriving actionable insights from data.
Tertiary qualification in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science).
Proficiency in SQL and Python, with strong skills in statistical analysis and machine learning.
eCommerce experience is a bonus.
Thorough understanding of the full model lifecycle and experimental design.
Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with commercial acumen.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively for different stakeholders.
Experience with both structured and unstructured data.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a curious mindset.
