Job Description Summary We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Senior Data Governance Associate to join our Asset Servicing Data Governance Team at Northern Trust. In this role, you will assist in developing and implementing data governance frameworks, ensuring our data assets are accurate, secure, and compliant with industry standards.
Major Duties: Develop tools and processes used to maintain a common data standard across the organization. Assess, manage, and maintain strategies that reduce data redundancy and increase the consistency of data used for decision making. Define and deliver data management standards, processes, and controls. Participate in periodic reviews to ensure continued compliance with data governance policies. Resolve conflicting priorities among data owners, data consumers, and custodians. Drive efficiency and risk mitigation through balancing business value and cost. Collaborate with partners across the organization in maintaining data governance and data quality structures. Coordinate and implement data quality remediation efforts. Provide leadership and guidance to staff, fostering an environment that encourages participation and teamwork. Knowledge and Skills: Strong Data Governance Tooling experience, preferably with Collibra. Knowledge of the Financial Service sector. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
