How will I help?
We have multiple opportunities for Senior Data Analyst within the Customer Analytics & Data Insights squad, within the Strategy & Value Proposition village in Cash and Transactional Banking.
The squad objective is to provide actionable insights to C&TB LOB and this role is an integral component within the squad.
The primary purpose will be to contribute to the success of diverse projects by leveraging your analytical prowess.
You will play a critical role in interpreting complex datasets, providing actionable insights and collaborating with cross functional team to drive project objectives.
Key responsibilities Extracting, manipulating & analysing data for customer communications using Teradata SQL, together with running in-house campaign management tools.
Develop a detailed understanding of the Westpac databases, data structures and core analytical procedures.
Develop a high level of skill in the core software packages required to perform analysis.
Share relevant knowledge with others to encourage any mutual benefit across the team.
Suggest/Make improvements through greater standardisation, speed, simplicity or automation of Analysis/Data or Campaign processes.
Demonstrate an understanding of client business objectives, recommending new or improved solutions based on client needs.
Completing and securing stakeholder sign-off for campaign data briefs.
Performing 'QA' for team analysts.
Maintaining documentation & contributing to the existing knowledge and process library documentation.
Providing analytical support to other team members.
Maintain a broad understanding of the products and services that Westpac provides.

What do I need?
Tertiary qualifications (Maths/Statistics/Quantitative/Business/IT) or equivalent business experience.
Strong technical knowledge of Teradata SQL and experience in Microsoft Office applications.
Sound communication, influencing and negotiation skills.
Sound stakeholder management experience.
Proven ability in prioritising, problem solving and decision making.
Ability to turn quantitative and qualitative analysis into business insights, opportunities, and solutions.
Five or more years' experience in an analyst role.
Previous experience with P&L, balance sheet analysis and interpretation an advantage What's it like to work there?
