Reporting to the Cybersecurity Operations Manager and working alongside a team, the Senior Security Specialist will analyse, monitor and assess security risks and incidents in NGM Groups IT infrastructure (software, hardware, networks, and systems). Your main priority is to help protect information and systems against any cyber-related threats and continue to develop a strong, secure and resilient IT environment.
This key position will ensure that cyber security risks and appropriate controls are identified, documented, remediated and tracked across technology, systems, infrastructure and policy at NGM Group.
What will your key responsibilities include? Incident management - monitor, investigate, remediate and report.Undertaking continuous improvement initiatives, implementing our cyber roadmap while improving on plans and incident response management processes.Perform information security risk assessments.Use analytic tools to determine emerging threat patterns and vulnerabilities.Assist with gathering information for security reporting purposes.Maintain all relevant documentation, generate metrics reporting as may be required.Support the team in leading stakeholders in the development, and implementation of cyber security governance and risk management frameworks, policies and procedures.Provide leadership and guidance to ensure the cyber team correctly identifies and responds to cyber security events and incidents in accordance with best practice.Identify and define security control gaps and develop business plans and solution/technical architecture models to address these gaps.What are we looking for? 3 years + security operations experienceKnowledge of security operations practices and procedures, including incident response, threat hunting, vulnerability management, and security information and event managementDemonstrated understanding of security principles and how to assess vulnerability.Detection engineering experience assessing and understanding alerts, their triggers and designing solutions.Experience with tools such as Tenable, Sumo Logic, Exabeam, Crowdstrike, Microsoft Defender, Netsparker, SolarWinds and QualysSound communications skills across a variety of audiences.A positive attitude, open mind, highly analytical and enjoy working as part of a team.Excellent problem solving & analytical abilities.SANS, CISSP, CSSP certification or similar, highly desirable.Experience with conducting audits, compliance monitoring and testing considered favourably.What can you expect from us?
