This role is perfect for someone with a lot of experience within the commercial and residential lending space. The successful candidate will have the chance to work with a range of mortgage applications and manage complex residential and commercial mortgage applications. This role is looking for someone to manage the other credit manager leaders in the commercial and residential space within a non-bank.
What you'll do:
As a Senior Credit Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing team leads and assessing and deciding on a variety of residential and commercial mortgage applications. You will be responsible for performing searches, verifying information according to company guidelines, adhering to internal lending policies, and using your credit risk analysis skills to determine outcomes. Your ability to develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders will be key in ensuring service levels are met. Additionally, you will liaise with external stakeholders as needed, manage pipelines effectively, and handle complex mortgage applications requiring higher delegated lending authority.

The ideal candidate for the Senior Credit Manager position will bring a wealth of experience in exercising a DLA in the financial services industry. You have to possess current approval authority such as DLA, DCA, CAD along with manual credit assessment experience preferably within the mortgage and commercial lending sector. Your specialist knowledge in residential and commercial credit assessment coupled with your understanding of the end-to-end mortgage process will be invaluable. Familiarity with relevant legislation including the National Credit Code Protection Act, Privacy Act, and AML/CTF legislation is also essential. It is also essential to bring some leadership experience to the role including managing someone.
