Position Summary:

In this role, you will be responsible for setting up cost control systems, establishing project procedures, and distributing initial budgets across various disciplines. You will conduct thorough analyses of risks and opportunities, monitor budget commitments, and report variances to project managers. Additionally, you will prepare and maintain project cash flows, support finance in sales invoice preparation, and ensure compliance with management system procedures.

Your expertise will be crucial in estimating the impact of project changes, managing project reconciliations, and supporting external audits. With a degree in Commerce, Business, Engineering, or Construction Management, and at least 5 years of cost control experience, preferably in the oil and gas sector, you will bring a wealth of knowledge to our team.

Key Responsibilities: Support the Project Manager and their team by providing advice and corrective actions. Maintain accurate forecasts of cost and revenues at completion. Produce accurate internal and client-facing reports. Coordinate with other Cost Controllers and Cost Controller Assistants. Set up the Cost Control System, project procedures, CBS/WBS, and initial budget. Estimate the impact of changes and modifications on project costs and potential revenue claims. Distribute the initial budget to discipline leads, procurement items, construction, and installation activities. Conduct analysis on risks and opportunities, including cost sensitivity analysis. Monitor commitments versus current budgets and report variances and potential impacts to PM/PCM. Estimate overall costs and quantities to the end of the project. Prepare, maintain, and issue Project Cash Flow for the Finance/Treasury department as required. Support Finance in the preparation and checking of sales invoices. Follow specific project/contract requirements and prepare specific reports. Perform quarter-end reconciliation of project accounts, including tender costs re-allocation, project % complete, and corporate costs accruals. Prepare Project Reconciliation Reports. Work with the Financial Controller to determine and manage the project's FEC/Hedging requirements. Support Finance for external audits. Maintain awareness of and compliance with Management System procedures and QHSE procedures. About you:  Degree in Commerce, Business, Engineering, or Construction Management 5 years of experience in Cost Control Experience in an Oil and Gas related company Full understanding of cost control, management, and project reporting principles Intermediate Excel skills Experience with project-based cost control Effective interpersonal skills Strong cost analysis skills Detail-oriented approach Ability to work to tight deadlines Proficiency in cost sensitivity analysis Experience in project cash flow management Skill in budget distribution Expertise in forecasting costs and revenues Experience in quarter-end project reconciliation Effective communication skills Strong analytical thinking Excellent time management Problem-solving abilities Team coordination skills About us:
