Senior Cost Benefit Analysis (CBA) Officer At the NSW Department of Education , we educate and inspire lifelong learners – from early childhood, through schooling to vocational education and training. 1x Ongoing Full Time Position Available Located in Parramatta with flexible and hybrid working arrangements available. Clerk Grade 9/10 with salary ranging from $120,859 p.a. to $133,183 p.a. superannuation 35-hour work week & Flex Leave Entitlements Fitness Passport unlocking access to 1500 fitness facilities About the role The Senior CBA officer leads research and analysis to enable the development of sound economic appraisals to support programs out of the Childcare and Economic Opportunity Fund (the Fund). This includes preparing ex-ante CBAs as part of business cases, and leading the scoping, planning and conduct of research and analysis to support key priorities under the Fund. Your ability to provide subject matter expertise and facilitate future planning and decision-making would be highly regarded. Demonstrate experience in one or more of the following; Cost Benefit Analysis, Economics / Applied Micro or Econometrics/Forecasting. Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to tailor communications to diverse stakeholders in a way they understand. Be able to establish, maintain and develop positive working relationships. Be comfortable in implementing research processes, managing projects from start to finish, and tailoring methodologies to diverse project needs in a rapidly evolving environment. Key Knowledge & Experience Demonstrated experience in working across diverse policy issues to support the provision of economic or policy advice. Experience in one or more of, Cost-Benefit Analysis, Evaluation, Economics / Applied Micro or similar and Econometrics / Forecasting. Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department's Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department's Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people. Essential requirements of the role Hold a valid clearance to work with children (Working with Children's Check). Appropriate tertiary qualifications or demonstrated, relevant, equivalent professional experience. Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the values of public education .
