The Senior Contracts Specialist will play a pivotal role in managing construction and engineering related contracts for major projects. You will work as part of an established team while leading a major contract portfolio across the business.My client is a WA headquartered, listed mining company with operations spanning many years and supplying global markets. They have established a strong presence in the market, known for their focus on sustainable practices and innovative strategies.DescriptionThis role will give you the opportunity to be part of the commercial operations of the business and some of your key responsibilities will include:Deliver commercial contract outcomes by leading negotiations and minimising risk through contract drafting and establishment of strong vendor relationships.Execute a range of commercial activities such as contract drafting, execution and management.Development and management of commercial contract activities within your portfolio such as the implementation of go to market strategies within tenders, negotiations and execution.Implement contract strategies while identifying commercial and legal risks.Liaise with various stakeholders such as site, finance, production and legal to facilitate contract outcomes.ProfileThe successful candidate will ideally have legal qualifications who has then moved into a commercial contracts role in a construction/projects environment. Candidates with a Quantity Surveying background would also be well suited to this role.You will demonstrate the ability to draft contracts independently as well as lead complex negotiations.
