We are seeking a passionate Senior Contracts Specialist to join our newly created Business Service Support team.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING Administering contracts meticulously to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant execution. Preparing and organising construction tender documents. Managing the tender process from issuance to evaluation. Leading negotiations with preferred bidders on price and terms. Overseeing contract approval and issuing letters of award. Addressing contractual queries and proposing viable solutions. Coordinating contractor meetings, recording minutes, and follow-ups. Assessing payment claims and ensuring timely invoice approval. Resolving contract inconsistencies and changes collaboratively. Collaborating with various teams for cost control, scheduling, and more. Visiting mine sites to monitor progress and safety. Any other duties as assigned. ABOUT YOU Minimum 8 years' experience in contracts administration or contracts / supply role. Relevant tertiary qualifications in Law, Commerce or related fields. Substantial experience working within a Contracts, from an Operator and/or EPCM or Contractor perspective. Strong skills in analysing tender submissions and making recommendations to award Effective written skills (e.g. drafting concise award recommendations, drafting contract conditions, drafting contract correspondence and variations) Strong influencing and negotiation skills with excellent communication skills and ability to manage multiple work packages and interface with internal customers. Excellent communication, both verbal and written, and co-ordination skills. Computer literate with experience in using ERP software (Pronto) is preferred. WHAT'S ON OFFER Permanent full-time role with immediate start. Excellent remuneration package with additional allowances. Receive a $12k residential allowance per annum, if you are residential and not FIFO. A fully covered family private health insurance through GU Health Complete Gold Cover or allowance up to $4.8k. Receive up to 10% short-term incentive payment (STIP) of your base salary. $2.4k allowance to put towards your choice of Death and Total & Permanent Disability (TPD) insurance. Pro-rata long service leave (LSL) after just 5 years of service and be entitled to 13 weeks paid LSL after 10 years of service.
