As a result of a growing volume of awarded work, we are currently recruiting for a Senior Contract Manager to join our team in either our growing Perth office or Brisbane office.
This critical role will manage and implement a complete overview of contracts policy, procedures, systems and training to ensure they meet current and future project requirements.
With varied engineering, procurement and construction options, your skilled guidance in influencing project plan execution is crucial to the delivery of sustainable and successful outcomes for our clients.
Key Responsibilities: Work in accordance with Ausenco's values and demonstrate commitment, active involvement and leadership regarding safety, sustainability, client, people and financial accountabilities. Provide senior Contracts guidance and support to bidding, winning and initiating new major projects across all regions. Facilitate the improvement of Contracts operations through review and update of procurement policy, procedures and workflows. Manage the implementation of new Contracts processes and system upgrades across all project structures, including overseas projects. Ensure that Contracts policies, plans, systems and procedures provide cost-effective outcomes for projects. Communicate and coordinate with relevant departments to ensure timely completion of Contracts project requirements. Assist Project Managers in managing complex head contract and major subcontract requirements including claims and extensions of time. Mentor staff and develop career plans where appropriate. Ensure staff have access to training in systems and procedures and are adequately trained. Skills, Qualifications and Experience: Degree in Procurement Management or equivalent industry procurement qualification. Minimum 15 years plus experience in contracts management in a construction environment within the resources or energy sector. Strong commercial acumen with ideally FIDIC qualifications. Strong policy, procedure, work flow and systems skills. Strong time management skills. Strong organisational and communication skills. Ability to present information in a clear and concise procedure document. Ability to navigate around difficult situations and time frames to achieve desired results.
