Working with a long-standing client of Calibre on a major project, this role will assume responsibility of day-to-day contractual matters, focusing on construction and service contracts for a project currently in early works execution phase.Arranging for the commercial and technical evaluation of bids and ensuring that purchase orders comply with appropriate specifications.Identifying and recommending appropriate procurement strategies to minimise costs without compromising service levels.Preparing and issuing tender documentation, enquiries and purchase orders for high value/high risk items.Contributing to and reviewing the scopes of work and contract conditions.Assessing, reviewing and advising senior/project managers in respect of contractor claims for variations, progress claims and extensions.Ensuring all commercial requirements of the contracts are satisfied; and developing and maintaining sound professional relationships with key suppliers.About You
A tertiary degree in commerce, engineering, law or other relevant discipline.7+ years' experience establishing and managing high-value long term service contracts.A good understanding of large scale mining and resource projects, in particular Iron Ore.Prior experience working in an EPC/EPCM environment during study phase.Attention to detail and rigorously follows procedures.Highly developed written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships with clients.About WSP | Calibre
