Senior Contracts / Procurement – Federal Government
We are seeking a Candidate that has extensive procurement experience, strong understanding of the Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPR) and the implementation of these rules through procurement of goods and services with Stage and Federal government.
The Candidate will also need to understand how EOI and Tender documents are developed, assessed and managed, have excellent scope definition, scheduling and contracts management experience with a client, client-side PM and /or Contractor with a degree in the build environment.
This is initially a 12-month contract with the possibility to be extended.
This position is based on a Federal Secured site in southern Sydney and will need Federal Security Clearance by Federal Police. Therefore, applicants must have Australian Citzenship!
Report structure:
Accountable to the Deputy Program Director, Project Controls and provides support and assistance where required.Reports to and provides day-to-day support and assistance to the Program Commercial Manager. Key accountabilities: Procurement and Contracts Management:Contractor Procurement and Management of Suppliers:- Manages the end-to-end procurement process for contractors and suppliers , ensuring compliance with Commonwealth Procurement Rules and the relevant company policies, procedures, and manuals.
- Assists the Commercial Manager with negotiations of contract terms and conditions with contractors and suppliers to secure the best possible outcomes for the company.
- Monitors contractors and suppliers' performance and ensures adherence to contractual obligation
Contract AdministrationReporting and Risk Management Experience required:
Significant experience as a Senior Contracts Administrator or Contracts manager on major projects including prior experience delivering solutions for pharmaceuticals, health, industrial, manufacturing, or nuclear facilities.Proven experience with government procurements and contracts on the client-side and or Contractor side.Experience working with Tier 1 Contractors and Principal Consultants.Experience at working on project values up to $120 million. Expertise: Relevant contract and procurement management expertise with an engineering or Contract Management degree (or equivalent relevant qualification and experience acceptable to the Institute of Engineers Australia, Chartered Membership, or eligibility for membership with the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) or Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
