Centrals, founded in 1985, has built a strong reputation as a leading contractor, delivering civil construction and mining services, and land care projects throughout regional Western Australia.About the roleReporting to the Commercial Manager, the Senior Contracts Administrator will be based initially on-site in the Mid-West region on a major civils construction project working a 10:4 DIDO roster from Perth.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Drafting scopes of work and preparing tender packages as per the project requirementsManaging the tendering process review, including negotiation of prices and recommendation of award for subcontract and vendor arrangementsMaintaining appropriate registers and document controls for project contracts and identifying cost trends as requiredMonitoring projects costs within the established budget and reporting any variationsProviding accurate and timely reports and preparing forecasts as requiredWorking with the Project Manager to identify and quantify any clarifications and variations to the Head ContractAssessing any commercial and contractual risks involved in delivery and implementation of project work scopes and identifying and implementing project controlsProcessing and responding to progress claimsCoordinating with finance/administration staff to ensure proper billingProviding any financial and contractual documentation required for awarded contracts and undertaking general business administrationQualifications and ExperienceTertiary qualifications in Quantity Surveying or equivalent experienceMinimum 10 years previous experience working on civil construction/bulk earthworks projectsExperience providing support services to project staff to ensure effective contract administrationA strong understanding and ability to interpret legislative and regulatory requirementsSound knowledge with Cheops or Construction Industry SoftwareStrong proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point and SharePointThe ability to take ownership of commercial activities and influence outcomesExcellent communication skills, and an ability to form and build relationships and communicate effectively with clients and subcontractorsStrong organisational and analytical skills and high level of attention to detailPositive negotiation, conflict and influencing skillsBe part of a team that embraces diverse talent, working together in a safe environment delivering strategic outcomes and creating lasting positive impacts.Central Earthmoving is an Equal Opportunity Employer that is committed to developing and maintaining a diverse workforce.
