Analysis & Reporting (Mining, Resources & Energy) Full time Mineral Mining Services (MMS) are looking for an experienced Estimator / Senior Estimator to join our team. We are a privately owned, established contract gold miner in the WA Goldfields with a portfolio of joint venture and owned operations.
This role will form part of our Technical Services team and ensure projects are priced in an accurate and timely manner.
Responsibilities: Prepare accurate and timely estimates, proposals and tenders. Prepare and distribute work packages to suppliers for quoted prices. Validate, verify and benchmark estimates using industry norms and compare with previous estimates, outcome costs and vendor prices. Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure submissions are accurate. Maintain records of cost estimates. Incorporate any financial or commercial requirements into the estimate as approved during the tender review process. Identify the methodology and cost options for profitable tendering. Ensure estimates are prepared accurately with correct costs and input parameters. Prepare post-submission responses to clients for the clarification of matters. Develop and maintain good working relationships with suppliers and other key stakeholders. Obtain information/documentation from internal departments as required. Maintain internal registers and prepare reports with current information. Attend site inspections and client meetings as required. Perform any additional tasks as directed. To be successful in this role, candidates will possess: Open cut and hard rock contract and tendering experience. Professional, well developed written communication skills. Intermediate/Advanced skill level for the Microsoft Suite of software (Word, Excel and PowerPoint). Recognised tertiary qualification in Engineering, Mining Engineering or related discipline. 5+ years' experience in a similar role. Strong understanding of mining operations and project management. Excellent organisational and time management abilities. Strong attention to detail.
