Senior Contracts Administrator Job Description About the role and project:
A consortium led by ACCIONA, together with local companies, has been awarded the contract to extend Stephenson Avenue, one of the main arteries in the City of Stirling. The AU$191 million project, called the "Stephenson Avenue Extension", will provide a new connection from the freeway to other major arteries, the industrial area of Osborne Park and the Westfield Innaloo Shopping Centre. As a Senior Contracts Administrator reporting to the Contracts Manager you will take a lead role managing a broad range of subcontractor and supplier agreements across a range of commercial models within the post-contracts administration phase of the project.
Main position roles and responsibilities: Assist with the procurement of subcontractors including negotiating and conforming subcontract and supply agreements with detailed input from the procurement, engineering & construction team. Manage subcontracts through all phases, including scope preparation, procurement, cost forecasting, subcontractor management, claims/variations processing, completion and close out. Assess commercial and contractual risks, identify, and implement appropriate controls and escalate actual or potential issues to Contracts Manager. Ensure cost forecasting for allocated subcontracts and cost codes (including those allocated to direct reports) are accurately maintained and cost issues are appropriately escalated upon identification. Month-end reporting including cost forecasts. Required Skills and Competencies Previous experience in a similar role ideally from within the construction sector. Tertiary qualifications or equivalent in quantity surveying, commerce, or construction management. Ability to work collaboratively and positively with a range of internal customers and external suppliers. Strong attention to detail with the ability to problem solve.
