About the Role John Holland has an opportunity for a Senior Contracts Administrator to join our team in Hervey Bay on the Queensland Train Manufacturing Program (QTMP).
As Senior Contracts Administrator, you will plan and manage the end-to-end commercial management of large subcontracts and self-performed works, both directly and indirectly. You will work effectively with internal and external stakeholders and direct reports to deliver project commercial outcomes.
Relocation support along with additional project allowances are provided.
Responsibilities of the role include: Provide management and leadership to other commercial roles, including direct reports. Participate in scope of works planning and prepare procurement strategies. Assess commercial and contractual risks, identify and implement appropriate controls and escalate actual or potential issues to the Senior Commercial Manager and Project Director. Effectively manage subcontracts through all phases. What we are looking for: Prior experience in a Senior Contracts Administration role within the Construction industry. Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Economics, Quantity Surveying, Law, Commerce or equivalent. Experience in all stages of subcontract management, including scope preparation, procurement, cost forecasting, subcontractor management, claims/variations management, completion and close out. Strong commercial acumen and awareness in areas of cost management, contract law and industry market conditions. Your success is reflected in ours, so we're committed to being an employer of choice.
