Senior Contracts Administrator required to join a well-regarded Builder managing a team for the delivery of multiple projects

We are a leading multi-residential Builder in South East QLD and we are seeking an experienced Contracts administrator to join our team! You will be leading a team of contract administrators with an initial focus on our newest project, an 8-story residential building at Redcliff.
As the Senior Contracts administrator, your focus will be to ensure that projects are executed efficiently and profitably through comprehensive contract and office management and project coordination.

About You
To be successful in this role you will have a minimum of 5+ years experience as a Senior Contracts administrator on medium/high-rise residential or commercial developments. You will have been exposed to mid-tier projects over $20m+.
As the lead in the office, you will be solutions-focused, have a high attention to detail, be able to guide and motivate your internal team, have exceptional communication skills, and the ability to drive projects to meet the expectations on program, budget, and quality. You should be able to demonstrate a proven track record of longevity and tenure with previous companies.
About the role
Located in Albion, the position requires the successful applicant to:
Review and assess all company contracts and provide recommendations or make requests from the client to support the negotiation process ensuring limited risk for Contrast.
Review commercial contracts and tender documentation as a priority and action as required.
Orchestrate and action administration requirements to support project finalization.
Negotiate and propose contract agreements (sub-contractors) to meet project and budget outcomes.
Ensure customer contracts are fit for purpose and legal obligations are met. Communicate with sub-contractors and suppliers in coordinating deliveries and work on sites.
Assess the financial risk of all projects and make recommendations based on a thorough analysis of all contract factors.
Conduct budget breakdowns and cash flow analysis.
Create accurate monthly forecasting reports, ensuring they are always updated with changes.
Make recommendations to the Project Manager/Site Manager to achieve maximum cost efficiency.
Conduct accurate checks against all progress claims and all relevant project invoices.
Ensure the timely return of invoices to the finance team after checking.
Investigate discrepancies and ensure accountability.
Proactively manage the project Claims process to minimize financial risk to the business.
Timely attendance to Variation requests and actions.
Maintain and update management with construction logistics.
Complete quality assurance inspections at various stages throughout the construction.
Ensure works are completed in a safe and timely manner and within a set budget.
Oversee the whole consultant process to ensure a coordinated, compliant set of documents are provided for each project.
Initial design and detail of information is managed in consultation with the Estimator. Pricing of supplies is closely monitored to ensure consistency.
Mentor and lead the team in line with the Vision and Values.
Promote a detailed, accurate and efficient contract administration environment.
Build a team that supports and promotes company growth and efficiency.
Liaise with external stakeholders to support project outcomes.
Understand site discrepancies in plans and support timely corrective actions.
Action head contract/sub contract claims, RFIs, and requests for extensions of time to ensure outcomes meet project deadlines.
Skills and experience
To be considered for this role, we anticipate you will possess the following attributes:
Hold Australian citizenship.
Minimum of 5 years in a senior Contracts Administrator role.
Hold a Construction White Card and Queensland Driver's License.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with high attention to detail.
A high level of organization, decision-making, and time management skills.
Ability to work autonomously, employ initiative to find solutions, prioritize tasks and exercise discretion.
Ability to work professionally in a team environment and seek mentoring from other team members.
Have exceptional IT proficiency across multiple building software platforms.
