Our client is an established leader and top tier fit-out and refurb head contractor who are known for their high quality practices. They are now seeking an experienced Senior Contracts Administrator / Contract Manager / Commercial Manager to join their growing business.
With a project portfolio that includes both small and large scale fit-outs for corporate, heritage, educational, hospitality and special use, you will be responsible for supporting the project teams in the management and administration of contracts throughout the project life cycle. In addition, you will ensure that the high quality and profitability of the projects are maintained while financial and contractual risks are minimised.
Ideally looking for a Senior CA that is looking to make the step up into a Contract Manager or Commercial Manager type of role with a top tier fit-out and refurb contractor. Candidates can come from a Tier 3, Tier 2 or Tier 1 background.
Responsibilities include but not limited to: Manage and mentor a contracts administration team Manage all facets of the subcontract process Negotiate and review subcontract tenders including preparation of tender comparison for review Prepare, check and review subcontract packages, scopes, lettings and procurement schedules Monitor subcontractors to ensure they are adhering to environmental commitments and responsibilities Prepare accurate payment schedules Understand and manage subcontractor contractual risk Process progress claims, delay claims and external variations according to contractual obligations Prepare project budgets for review and provide accurate rolling final account forecasts Assist in the preparation and administration of project completion and inspection test plans Qualifications and Requirements: Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction or similar Minimum 5-15+ years' experience within the construction industry – a tier 1, 2 or 3 background would be ideal Construction Safety Induction (White) card Proven knowledge of subcontract tendering, standards, and procedures Sound understanding of overall construction program and plans Able to identify key client and builder obligations Strong financial analysis and administrative focus Good negotiation skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to build rapport at all levels This is a permanent full-time position providing a great opportunity to work with a successful and growing organisation who offer challenging work and the potential for career progression.
