SAFA is the central financing authority, captive insurer andmanager of the passenger and light commercial fleet operations forthe Government of South Australia. It also provides extensivefinancial and commercial advisory services to the South Australianpublic sector. SAFA plays an integral role in the overallmanagement of the State Government's finances and risks, harnessingeconomies of scale and expertise in financial and insurance marketsto provide a range of treasury, insurance, commercial advisory andvehicle fleet management services.
Job Description: The Senior Contract Officer isaccountable to the Manager, Commercial Advisory for providinganalytical support to Principal Advisors, Senior Advisors, SeniorContract Managers and Contract Managers responsible for advisingon, and managing, industry assistance contracts between the SouthAustralian Government and businesses consistent with theState's economic development objectives.
The Senior Contract Officer will be required to support ContractManagers in evaluating the performance of businesses within theState that request or receive financial assistance from Government.The Senior Contract Officer will also support Contract Managers inmonitoring and evaluating the performance of companies undercontract to Government, assess claims for milestone payments,prepare reports and undertake administrative processes associatedwith the effective management of all industry contracts to whichthe Treasurer is a party.
Special conditions: Some out of hours work andintrastate and interstate travel may be required. Theincumbent will be required to participate in the DepartmentalPerformance Management Program. The incumbent may be requiredto be assigned to other positions at the same remuneration levelacross the department. The successful applicant will berequired to undertake a General Probity Screening Check.
Remuneration: ASO4 ($75,430 p.a. - $79,070p.a.)
