An exciting opportunity has becomeavailable for a Senior Compliance Officer to join the MineralsRegulation Compliance team. It is an exciting time to join DEM ascontinues on a journey to be a best practice regulator and helpensure the mining industry complies with its obligations under theMining Act. The role will include an opportunity to see lots ofSouth Australia as part of the compliance role and interact with avariety of stakeholders.

KeySelection Criteria: Experience in thedevelopment and implementation of effective regulatoryoperational policies and processes, particularly in relation toa compliance function. Knowledge of complianceand enforcement principles, policies andprocedures. Soundunderstanding of South Australian mining legislation, relevantenvironmental legislation, regulatory policies andprocesses. Expertability to work collaboratively with a wide range of people,building productive working relationship with peers, other workcolleagues and stakeholders. EssentialQualifications: A degreein Engineering, Science, Environmental Management or anotherdiscipline relevant to compliance management or the resourcesindustry. Remuneration:
PO3, $98,313 - $103,936 per annum
Full-time role,working 37.5 hours per week
SpecialConditions:
This isan ongoing position Acurrent SA driver license is required. Theposition is based in the Adelaide office. Some outof hours work may be required, including intrastatetravel. DEMencourages flexible working arrangements such as working fromhome, part time work, job share, compressed weeks and purchasedleave. Arrangements are negotiated with the appropriateManager. Theincumbent will be required to maintain a safe workingenvironment by adopting appropriate hazard management practicesconsistent with the role. Theincumbent is expected to uphold the ethical behaviour andprofessional integrity standards as contained in the PublicSector Act 2009, as well as comply with any other relevantlegislated requirements.
