We currently have an opportunity for a Senior Contract Administrator to join our team. This position will support the Riverina Redevelopment Joint Venture (RRJV), which is a 50/50 joint venture between Downer and CPB Contractors to undertake major upgrades and replacement of existing infrastructure and facilities.We are seeking candidates to be part of our team on the redevelopment project, covering the Albury Wodonga Military Area, Blamey Barracks (Kapooka) and the RAAF Base Wagga.This role will be a site-based role in Wagga Wagga. Local and non-local candidates are encouraged to apply with attractive relocation packages available.The role has a broad remit, with key responsibilities outlined below:Lead the Expression of Interest, tendering and tender recommendation process of assigned packages within the timeframe required.Ensure all subcontractors and suppliers are engaged under formal instruments of agreement prior to commencement.Variations are measured and controlled, validated and approved through the appropriate contract framework.Reports are completed as required, payment schedules are issued.Support head contract administration as directed by the Contracts Manager.Clearly define and communicate delivery dates for orders to all stakeholders, including clients and internal stakeholders.Maintain positive and productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Provide cost at completion forecast with the relevant base lead for the assigned packages.Procure goods and services in accordance with RRJV's Delegation of Authority.Prepare subcontract award approval packs for internal and external approval.Set up key project documents, including claims registers, and cashflows forecast as required.Manage and execute contract variations, including issues of notices, receipt of executed documents and project budget variations.Co-ordinate external communications for each contract including the creation of variation notices, delivery advice, progress claims and invoices, vendor data etc.Management of securities, including retrieval at contract's end.Provide coaching and mentoring of Contract Administrators if required.Lead and co-ordinate tendering process including the development and finalisation of the scope of works with inputs from all relevant stakeholders.What you'll bringAustralian citizenship and checkable background for Defence site entry requirements.+7 years' experience in contracts administration.Knowledge of contract clauses/languages/risks such as indemnities, limitation of liabilities, liquidated damages etc., how they are administered and how they impact project risk.Ability to review, understand and interpret contract terms/clauses with support of the contracts manager and the legal team.Ability to prepare contract documents.Understanding of contract securities and financial instruments, including bank guarantees, letters of credit and foreign exchange hedges.Basic understanding of project finance metrics, including accruals, earned value, forecast costs, margin and cashflows.More than anything, you'll have a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a drive to provide high quality outcomes for the Social Infrastructure and Citizen Services business unit and our clients.Spotless Management Services Pty Ltd (a Downer Company) is delivering the works as part of a joint venture with CPB Contractors Pty Ltd.
