The Senior Contracts Administrator is responsible for ensuring that the commercial documents used in securing subcontract and supplier tenders are properly coordinated with the technical documents and the Head contract and that they follow the appropriate procedures and standards. Key responsibilities of the role include leading negotiations with subcontractors and suppliers, the procurement of labour/subcontractor services; and financial activities with a focus on cash flow, profit maximisation, variations, reporting and administration.
Your new role Working under the direction and instructions of the Project Manager regarding commercial aspects of both upstream (client) and downstream (contractors) contracts post-award, focusing on interface management and back to back contracting risks. Advise the Project Manager on payment and variation claims, verifying contractor claims before client authorisation, and maintaining regular communication with the client and Project Manager. Regularly assessing and recording contractor performance and project competencies. Interpreting contract terms, assessing strategies, and ensuring contractual risks are managed and mitigated. This includes handling variations, claims, liquidated damages, and provisional sums. Acting as a Client Representative, providing support for site inspections, auditing and coordination of construction projects in an efficient and effective manner. Completing and maintaining all project PMP, Safety, Quality and Environmental requirements on Procore, Hammertech and Open Space to achieve project and legal requirements. What you'll need to succeed Minimum 6 years' experience in commercial construction. Proven ability to analyse & interpret building contracts and any other contracts connected with Property Development, Building and Design. Tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Business, Law and/or Commerce or relevant discipline (essential). High level of knowledge and/or exposure in Microsoft Office and all programs; AutoCAD, Procore, etc. What you need to do now
