ABOUT THE ROLE
This role is a Permanent full-time position based in our Head Office in Wangara, Perth.
We have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced
Senior Contract Administrator/Commercial Manager
to be part of our team and ongoing success.
Reporting directly to the General Manager, this role will support other team members and projects as required, in the delivery of commercial and contractual requirements to drive business growth and maximise profitability.
The role would suit a strong SCA ready to step up to a Lead position or someone currently in a junior Commercial Manager position.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Review and Improve Contract Administration Mechanisms
Manage and mentor the commercial team, providing guidance, training, and support to achieve targets and objectives.
Provide support and work with General and Operation Managers to ensure project commercial requirements and outcomes are met.
Lead and manage contract negotiations, ensuring terms and conditions are favourable for the company while maintaining positive relationships with clients.
Manage multiple competing priorities to achieve what is both urgent and important to meet both deadlines and other's needs
Build positive relationships with Clients, understanding their needs/expectations
Ensure health safety and environmental issues are considered effectively in the programming of works.
ABOUT YOU
Tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or similar is ideal.
Exposure on a broad range of Civil Engineering projects e.g.
roads, concrete works, remediation, buildings etc
5+ years relevant site experience
Solid understanding of Commercial requirements, contract management, subcontract management, cost control, developing contract agreements and negotiations in the Civil Engineering industry.
Sound understanding of estimating fundamentals
Identify commercial risk and opportunities
Knowledge in the use of ERP systems especially COINS
