About the role
As a Consultant / Senior Consultant within our Private Tax team, you will be involved in providing professional accounting and taxation services to a diverse range of clients and industries, including large privately owned businesses, high net worth family groups and family offices.

This opportunity will see you advising on accounting and compliance matters, with a strong tax technical focus, through to developing strategies for growth, acquisitions, divestments, and succession.

The BDO Private Tax team is driven by close client relationships, personalised attention, and providing value-added services.

Some of your key responsibilities include:
Tax Advisory services Tax compliance including tax return preparation Involvement with family business succession and structuring wealth transfer to next generations Collaborating across multi-disciplinary teams Coaching and mentoring junior team members About you
Relevant tertiary and CA qualifications (CA may be complete or on the path to completion) Demonstrated experience in a similar role within a public practice Knowledge of Australian taxation legislation and accounting reporting requirements Proficient understanding of accounting concepts and financial statement preparation, as well as preparation of income tax returns, activity statements, etc.
Strong communication skills with the ability to work within a team and autonomously Passion for professional development, keeping up to date with changes in tax and accounting legislation and standards Why BDO
