Reporting to the Managing Director; The Senior Consultant - Signalling Engineer will be part of a multi-disciplined team and play a crucial role in the successful delivery of projects. The role will provide you with the opportunity to apply your Engineering expertise across major projects.
The role: Provide a range of technical consulting services and innovative solutions to HKRP clients across the Signalling Engineering discipline.Design, verify, review and solve technical problems related to Signal Engineering design articles including Signalling Arrangements, Control Tables, Circuits and Interlocking Data.Provide a central role as a signal engineering specialist in a team of engineering professionals, including complex multi-disciplinary projects to ensure delivery of effective and commercially valuable solutions.Develop Engineering plans processes to support the delivery of multi-disciplinary rail projects.Provide continual subject matter expertise to ensure exceptional client relationships are maintained.Support and lead tender submissions in conjunction with internal stakeholders whilst identifying commercial opportunities with clients.Team, stakeholder and contractor engagement communication skills, ability to work across multiple functions and scopes of work, take accountability and drive successful outcomes.Experience & skills: Skills and experience in delivering signal engineering solutions to meet project requirements.Analytical skills including critical thinking, analysis, research, and ability to identify and solve complex issues.Good knowledge and understanding of engineering tools such as MicroStationA thorough understanding of the typical engineering management, project development and implementation lifecyclesExceptional written and interpersonal skills including the ability to develop and manage client and stakeholder requirements / relationshipsHighly motivated with evident problem-solving capabilities including planning and delivering technically complex significant projects.Independence and ability to operate without direct supervision and exercise initiative.Mentor and support the development of design engineers within the team.Qualifications: Degree Qualified in an Engineering discipline, preferably in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Electronic Engineering, or a similar rail specific disciplineHave achieved Chartered Engineer status or have a plan in place to achieve Chartered StatusRegistered Professional Engineer Queensland (RPEQ)
