Senior Consultant - Commercial

The RoleWe have an immediate need for a Senior Consultant in Canberra with outstanding Commercial / Procurement skills and experience in the Defence Industry.

This Service Delivery role sits within our Maritime Capability segment , where you will provide commercial advisory consulting services to our clients. While consulting experience would be great, we can help you to develop those skills if you haven't consulted before.

Our Ideal CandidateYou are experienced in Defence procurement / sourcing, contract development, and / or contract management. If you have delivered these types of services in, or to, CASG or other Defence clients in the past, we would love to have a chat.

As a Defence consultancy, we also need you to be an Australian Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a AGSVA Security Clearance.

Required skills and attributes include:

Defence commercial acumen including a working knowledge of the Defence Procurement Policy Framework, the Commonwealth Procurement Rules and the ASDEFCON suite

High level of emotional intelligence and humanistic

Great listener, excellent communicator and dedicated

A proven track record of delivering quality outcomes

Having these other abilities would also be awesome (but not mandatory):

Working knowledge of Maritime domain or experience working within Maritime

Above the line support directly to the Commonwealth

Financial / cost modelling experience

Legal background

Foreign military sale expertise including export / import management
