We have partnered with one of NSW's most prestigious higher education institutions searching for a seasoned Senior Communications professional for a 6-month contract to work on an ongoing integrated (strategic, operational, and cultural) project that will support the development of academics.
Having worked in internal communications, you will exude the determination and enthusiasm to roll up your sleeves and run stakeholder engagement programs to support your staff and ensure they are aligned with strategic goals.
The opportunity to contribute to impactful projects, work with a diverse team of professionals, and grow your career in a supportive environment. Initial 6-month contract with a strong view of extension as it is a 3-year project. Hybrid working model, as they value the importance of flexibility. What Will You Achieve? Design and implement communications strategies to engage staff and key stakeholders across the University, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives. Develop and maintain tools that empower leaders and managers to communicate effectively with their teams, driving transparency and trust. Craft thoughtful responses to sensitive issues, collaborating with senior leaders to protect the University's reputation and address staff concerns. Establish and manage metrics to assess the effectiveness of communications, and regularly provide data-driven recommendations for improvements. Produce high-quality, audience-driven messaging and materials that reflect the University's strategic priorities, managing communications plans for key projects. What Will You Need To Succeed? Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field, or equivalent training and experience. Proven success in a senior communications role within a complex, multifaceted organisation - ideally in a higher education or journalism background.
