About the role In line with SNAICC's strategic direction, the Events & Communications Coordinator is responsible for leading the implementation of SNAICC's communications and events strategy across the organisation.
This will include project management of the delivery of SNAICC's biennial conference.
We are looking for someone who has: Demonstrated experience in the project management of large and complex events (event planning, management and delivery including event infrastructure and procurement).Demonstrated experience in using systems including Adobe Creative Cloud (Indesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, PremierePro), Canva, WordPress CMS, Mailchimp or similar EDM systems, and social media platforms.Demonstrated ability to achieve organisational goals and build relationships through events and other networking.Excellent writing and editing skills with the ability to create impactful content for diverse audiences, in particular Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and early years sector.Excellent time management skills including working to deadlines, and attention to detail at all times.Experience in creating and implementing communications plans and assets.Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to present information clearly and establish collaborative working relationships.Ability to work in a fast-paced creative team environment with exceptional time management skills and demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Broad knowledge and a solid understanding of issues impacting upon Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and families, and commitment to the rights, needs and aspirations of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and families.About SNAICC Established in 1981, SNAICC – National Voice for our Children is the national non-government peak body for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children.

SNAICC plays a key role in the following areas:
Research and policy development, with high-level leadership, policy and sector representation.Training and resource design, development and delivery including topics such as early childhood development, partnerships, family support, trauma, and cultural competency.Support for sector development, membership, and networking.About the Unit: The Strategic Engagement and Communications team is a small team of communication specialists responsible for all internal and external communications and marketing to drive: media and sector engagement; stakeholder engagement; organisational membership; and branding and awareness - to advance the needs, rights and aspiration of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and their families.
