Job DescriptionYour New Role Reporting to the Manager, Communications Partnering in the Corporate Affairs and Engagement Division at Development Victoria, the Senior Communications & Community Engagement Advisor will play a key role in developing and leading strategic communications and community engagement across Development Victoria's projects and to support the organisation's objectives.
Develop and deliver integrated communications and community engagement strategies for a range of Victoria's state-shaping projects, across housing, precinct and civic infrastructure.Develop and implement community and stakeholder engagement strategies and programs to support infrastructure planning pathways and project delivery.Deliver meaningful stakeholder and community engagement as an integral part of Development Victoria's projects.Where required, manage consultants to deliver engagement programs.Develop proactive communications and engagement strategies to enhance the visibility of key projects and Development Victoria.Work collaboratively across the Corporate Affairs and Engagement team to provide timely advice and consistent messaging for Development Victoria and its projects.Collaborate with internal project teams, client agencies, and partners to implement communication plans and manage issues.Work across the Corporate Affairs and Engagement team with other advisors, including the Senior Media Advisor and Senior Digital Advisor to identify and create high-quality content aimed at various channels to engage target audiences and tell the Development Victoria story.Assist in developing and maintaining branded collateral to a high standard.Identify strategic communications and engagement opportunities to enhance the reputation of Development Victoria and its projects and to mitigate project risks.Provide advice that incorporates a high level of awareness of Government priorities as they relate to Development Victoria, particularly in relation to the Victorian Government's Housing Statement.Be the 'go to' communications and engagement lead for project partners and ensure the Corporate Affairs and Engagement Leadership Team is informed of issues, opportunities, stakeholder, customer and community attitudes and expectations.Desired Skills and ExperienceAbout You This is an exciting opportunity to channel your existing communications, engagement, journalism or corporate affairs experience into supporting a values-led organisation with a committed team delivering positive outcomes for the Victorian community.
You've previously led communications and engagement initiatives for projects and are passionate about telling stories, managing reputation and delivering meaningful community and stakeholder engagement.
