Southern Adelaide Local Health Network – Flinders Medical Centre – Media and Communications DepartmentSalary $98,478.00 - $104,165.00 (Pro Rata) ASO6 | Full Time – Ongoing We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Senior Communications Advisor to join our Media and Communications Team!The Senior Communications Adviser reports to the Manager, Media and Communications and undertakes many duties related to media and communications functions including management of, media, marketing, journalism, publications, events, branding and identity.
The Senior Communications Adviser plays an important role to deliver high quality communication materials and providing public relations consultancy services to stakeholders within SALHN.
About the role: Reporting to the Manager of Media and communications, duties for this role may involve: Leading the planning, development, implementation and monitoring of relevant strategic communication, social marketing, and community engagement models Providing expert strategic communications advice to executive/senior staff on all aspects of stakeholder and communication activitiesManaging the budgets and contracts of external suppliers including provision of services including advertising, graphic design, video production, print and other servicesEnsuring that standards of presentation, style and content are appropriate for the particular project purpose by providing high-level strategic advice to the communications advisers in their development and implementation of communication plans and advertising campaigns.
About you: Proven ability to work both independently and as a member of a teamDemonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writingDemonstrated experience working journalism, public relations, communication or related field, including experience in developing and implementing public relations and promotional strategiesExperience in briefing and working collaboratively with a range of external organisations such as advertising agencies, graphic designers and market research organisations.
