What's the role about? As a senior commercial analyst, you will be pivotal in driving our business forward by providing strategic insight and data driven recommendations. Your expertise will be instrumental in guiding Assurant to achieve key top and bottom-line objectives. There will be a strong focus on optimising supply chain/purchasing and enhancing sales channel performance. You will be collaborating closely with our connected teams, ranging from warehousing to ecommerce and wholesale managers.
Some of the key responsibilities of the role include:
Managing purchase & sale pricing for a diverse range of refurbished technology products across all sale channels to maximise sales and profitability, whilst closely managing inventory risk.Coordinate with sales team to meet stock requirements and identify sales/promotional opportunities plus new product line growthAnalyse and understand sales results and outcomes from different channels and constantly evaluate next best use of productEvaluate and report on product performanceManage product range and mitigate risk associated with slow moving products and overstocksWork with key stakeholders to continuously review and implement sales strategy by channel and facilitate expansion to new channelsPerform regular competitor analysis to determine benchmark pricing and anticipate market moving eventsManage purchase pricing across all supplier channels Work closely with suppliers to understand product availability and upcoming purchasing opportunitiesDevelop and maintain reporting (ongoing and ad hoc) across all business functions including sales, operations, finance.Utilise existing reporting tools in Tableau (BI) environment and expand functionality where necessary to understand all aspects of inventory management, sales performance and operational performance to influence business decisions by providing analytical insightsSome of the benefits we offer to our team members are:  Cultural day off to celebrate what's important to youInternational and Local mentoring programsDiscounted Employee Share Purchase ProgramRecharge days for your Mental and Physical WellbeingDiscounts on refurbished mobile devices6 weeks paid parental leave and Superannuation contributions while on unpaid leaveHybrid work modelNovated vehicle leasingVolunteering opportunities to give back to a cause that is important to you Development programs & LinkedIn learning courses as well as study grants and support for higher educationDoes this sound like you? Minimum of 5 years of relevant experienceStrong level of commercial acumen and agilityDegree in Commerce or Finance desirable but not essentialUnderstanding of supply planning, purchasing, channel optimisation and pricing in online and retail environmentTeam player with strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a fast-moving organisation, which is driving rapid growthAdvanced understanding of Microsoft Excel modelling/calculation skills with a focus on data accuracy and an ability to creatively problem solveUnderstanding of MS Access and BI tools, such as TableauFlexible mindset and ability to successfully prioritize important tasks across the roleAutonomous and adaptable to an ever-changing business environmentAbility to plan, work to firm deadlines and results drivenIf you think you are a fit for this role, we'd love to talk more!
