About the Role

As the Senior Commercialisation Manager at AVS, you'll lead the charge in advancing the commercialisation and adoption of cutting-edge agriculture technologies. Reporting directly to the AVS Chief Commercialisation Officer, you will oversee strategy development and execution, using your leadership skills to accelerate the market success of our innovations and IP assets.

You will:

Opportunity Capture:

Lead the identification, assessment and securing of technology commercialisation opportunities for AVS inventions through strategic IP license agreements.

Strategy Leadership:

Play a lead role in strategy development and planning, and execution of commercialisation for key AVR IP assets, driving impactful market entry and growth.

Senior Expert Advice:

Provide high-level commercial, IP, and contract management guidance to support public-private Research and Innovation collaborations and large-scale technology licensing ventures.

Investment Leadership:

Drive the enhancement of the commercial value of Department R&D inventions through advanced financial modelling and project management, accelerating private sector adoption.

Continuous Improvement:

Lead the collaboration with AVS and AVR to implement continuous improvement in IP management and commercialisation, fostering a culture of innovation and operational excellence.

About You

To drive AVS' success, you are an experienced commercialisation leader with a proven track record in:

Leading commercialisation opportunity identification and assessment.

Leading IP and commercialisation strategy development and implementation (including IP protection and technology valuations).

Structuring, negotiating, and managing complex commercial IP license agreements or high-level Research and Innovation collaborations.

Leading market validation, commercialisation development, and large-scale project planning and management.

Writing high-quality, complex commercialisation strategies, plans and business cases for investment.

Bonus Points If You:

Have highly effective communication and people skills, with a proven track record in building strategic relationships with scientific and business professionals at all levels.

Possess strong leadership skills, energy, and emotional intelligence for developing high-value AgTech partnerships.

Have a leadership-driven mindset to positively influence a collaborative team environment.

Hold relevant qualifications in business and/or science.

Have knowledge or experience in agriculture.
