As a Senior Azure Consultant, you will lead the design, implementation, and management of complex Azure-based solutions. Your expertise in Azure's hub-and-spoke network architecture, including virtual network peering, firewall, express route, and user-defined route tables, will be vital in delivering best-in-class cloud solutions for clients. You'll work closely with clients to understand their needs and architect scalable, secure environments using Azure's cutting-edge tools and frameworks.
A typical day includes consulting with clients to design Azure infrastructure, implementing networking and security configurations, and managing the migration of workloads from on-premises or hybrid systems to the cloud. You will ensure smooth communication between hub and spoke networks and be responsible for ongoing management and optimization of Azure resources.
Key Responsibilities: Act as a subject matter expert in Azure, designing and implementing solutions focused on hub-and-spoke network architecture with virtual networks peered to a central hub. Design, implement, and manage Azure services such as networking (ExpressRoute, VPNs), platform services (SQL, Kubernetes), and security (Azure Defender, Sentinel). Configure and manage hub networks, including setting up firewalls, express routes, and virtual network gateways. Implement user-defined route tables to direct traffic from spoke networks to the hub network. Consult with clients to design secure, high-performance environments following best practices, including the Microsoft Well-Architected Framework and Azure Landing Zone Architecture. Plan and execute migrations from on-premises systems to Azure or hybrid cloud environments. Provide ongoing monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization of Azure environments to ensure performance and security standards. Qualifications: Must have a degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience. Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience with Azure, particularly in designing and managing hub-and-spoke networks (virtual networks, peering, firewalls, and routing). Proven experience with Azure infrastructure management, including networking, security, and platform services such as Azure Virtual Machines, App Services, and Kubernetes. Strong understanding of Azure hub network components, such as firewalls, virtual network gateways, and express routes, and managing traffic flow using user-defined route tables. Relevant certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert, DevOps Engineer Expert, or similar are essential. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing client needs. Job Type: Full-time
