Institute of Health and Wellbeing – Ballarat Campus Full-time, continuing appointment (part-time option will be considered) Attractive remuneration package available About the role FedCare Clinic is the university's flagship clinic for the provision of psychological training to post-graduate students and provisional and early career psychologists.
As the senior clinician and supervisor, you will be responsible for high-quality onsite clinical leadership and overseeing all clinic operations, including clinical and administrative duties aimed at ensuring the safe and efficient running of services.
You will: significantly contribute to the strategic planning of FedCare services ensuring continued growth and development; develop and implement strategies addressing and resolving external issues in postgraduate training in psychology; provide extensive technical knowledge and expertise to both individual and group supervision of provisional psychologists; lead clinic operations, including client intake and allocations using criterion and critical judgement assess and allocate provisional psychologists to clinical rotations; and create a positive clinic culture and supportive environment for both clinical services and training consistent with the Institute's aims.
About you Working as part of a team you will have proven experience overseeing all clinic operations applying expert technical knowledge and experience to problem solve and make appropriate decisions.
You will have comprehensive knowledge of placement and training requirements consistent with APAC standards and the specifications of other relevant professional bodies, including AHPRA and PsyBA.
You will possess: general registration as a psychologist, clinical endorsement with AHPRA, and Board Approved supervisor status with PsyBA; demonstrated extensive clinical experience and expertise; demonstrated experience working with and supervising cases across the lifespan; demonstrated experience supervising provisional and/or early career psychologists, including proven management of their progress and performance; and demonstrated knowledge and understanding of health services and referral pathways.
