We are a private healthcare provider of choice, driving innovation and clinical best practice to the services we provide.Your new role as Senior Clinical Coder:We are seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Clinical Coder to join our friendly and supportive Medical Records team to cover upcoming maternity leave in a casual/temp capacity.The role of the clinical coder is to ensure timely and accurate completion of clinical coding of all patient admissions using ICD10AM, and the provision of Diagnosis Related Groups (DRG's) to facilitate patient billing and ensure continuation of the Revenue Cycle. In addition, the clinical coder is required to assist in maintaining the integrity of documentation in the medical record by reporting deficiencies and inaccuracies to the Health Information Manager (HIM).About you (essential criteria):Current Working with Children Check and Police Check.Certificate in Clinical Coding Classification (ICD-10-AM) Disease and Intervention Clinical Classification as well as demonstrating an ongoing commitment to participate in education with each update release.Minimum of 4 years coding experience in a hospital environmentExperience in hospital mainframe systems, e.g. IBA, in conjunction with competent keyboard skills and MS OfficeStrong collaborative interpersonal skills with well-developed verbal and written communication skills.Immunisation evidence and serology report in accordance with NSW Health.Completed Clinical Coding Qualification in ICD-10-AMor equivalentKnowledge of Terminal Digit Filing SystemsKnowledge of State and Commonwealth Legislation on Privacy and ConfidentialityExperience with 3M Encoder softwareApplications must address and meet essential criteria.
