Great opportunity to join Forensic Intervention Services.Full Time, Ongoing opportunity to make a positive difference in keeping our community safe.The Department of Justice and Community Safety is seeking a Senior Clinical Advisor to provide a critical role within the Service Delivery and Practice, Service Development team.
About the Business Unit Forensic Intervention Services is a specialist program area that provides people in custody and in the community with evidence-based screening, assessment, and offence-specific intervention services to support their rehabilitation.
About the Role The Senior Clinical Advisor is responsible for providing authoritative advice on complex clinical and operational issues relating to the delivery of offending behaviour interventions across Victoria.
As a Senior Clinical Advisor, some of your duties will include:
Undertaking analysis and providing authoritative advice on complex clinical and operational issues.Planning and managing projects to support effective clinical service delivery.Establishing and maintaining collaborative relationships with stakeholders.About you To be successful in this role, you will have:
Demonstrated experience in the planning of programs and services for people in custody and in the community.Understanding and experience in assessment and use of psychometric tools.Understanding of key issues impacting Corrections Victoria.Understanding of relevant frameworks for offending behaviour rehabilitation.Qualifications/requirements Registration as a Psychologist with AHPRA; orMembership of the Australian Association of Social Work; orCredentialed as Mental Health Nurses with the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses; orRegistration as an Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia.AHPRA approved supervisor, or equivalent; orA minimum of 2 years of being a practicing supervisor.Specialist training and/or postgraduate qualifications in a clinical or forensic field would be highly regarded.How to Apply Please click the Apply button on this advertisement.
