We are experts in our field, and we are passionate about mining.What you'll do:Lead civil and multidisciplinary design projects and studies.Supports and leads multidisciplinary proposals for opportunities ranging from concept studies to detailed design and construction field services.Establishes new clients and fosters growth with existing clients.Integrates and networks within the company to deliver complex engineering projects with an emphasis on dams and associated water infrastructure.Guides and develops graduate and mid-level engineers with technical and consulting discipline.Manages projects with a high degree of competence.Works across disciplines and sectors to grow our water dams business and internal capability to deliver dam projects.About YouBachelor's Degree or equivalent in civil engineering or associated degrees in geotechnical, structural, or water resources engineering.Advanced Degree(s) with emphasis on dams and/or other water infrastructure beneficial.Demonstrated experience ranging from conceptual to detailed design of water dams and hydraulic structures. Strong emphasis on experience with concrete hydraulic structures including intakes, dams, spillways. Beneficial experience and exposure to hydroelectric power generation (conventional, run-of-river, and pumped storage).Experience in the inspection, investigation, and condition assessment of existing dams including review and surveillance of monitoring data. Experience may include leadership and/or participation in risk assessments and consequence classifications, failure modes assessments, dam safety reviews.Familiarity with contemporary ANCOLD and international (ICOLD and/or Canadian Dam Safey Association) guidelines and best practices.Experience mentoring junior members of the team.Experienced with broad skills across a range of civil design and engineering areas (geotechnical, hydrotechnical, materials, and structural).Design and project management experience through the life cycle of design projects including leading preparation of responses to tender, design delivery and construction phase support.Strong business acumen and ability to develop and grow relationships with internal and external clients.About WSPWSP is one of the world's leading engineering professional services firms, bringing together approximately 6,000 talented people across 15 offices in Australia.
