The Senior Case Manager ensures a high level of community safety through the case management of offenders in accordance with their assessed risk and need and maintains high standards of offender assessment practices that facilitate effective supervision and improve reintegration and rehabilitation of high-risk sexual and violent offenders.The essential requirements for this role are:Able to demonstrate experience working within a legislative framework that underpins a core service delivery area.Able to work self-sufficiently and be confident in your own professional discretion, reasoning, judgement and decision-making skills prior to seeking management validation.Able to demonstrate previous experiences of fostering a new relationship and receiving positive reinforcement in return to demonstrate the relationship was well developed.Communicate professionally and engage with respect with colleagues, offenders, management and stakeholders. Experience in working collaboratively with people from diverse cultural backgrounds.Ability to embrace diversity and maximise the whole range of skills and differences available within the workforce.Individuals employed on a permanent or temporary basis will be required to complete Certificate IV in Correctional Practice (Community).
