We are now seeking a Senior Carpenter to play a significant role in the growth of our business.
The Senior Carpenter will be responsible for:Planning construction projects to be compliant and completed within time and financial budgetsSupervising on-site construction to ensure efficient project delivery meeting quality standardsDeveloping and maintaining positive and effective relationships with stakeholdersTasks will include:Reading and interpreting plans and drawings, estimating materials, liaising with suppliers and checking samplesWorking on- and off-site to cut roof trusses and wall framework and set out for construction, fabricate kitchen benchtops, doors, and cabinetryErecting frameworks, installing kitchens, windows, doors, cladding using a range of power and hand toolsMeasuring and cutting engineered and natural hardwood flooring and hardwood for deckingLiaising with clients, engineers, architects, and other tradesSupervising projects by coordinating on-site trades workersAs Senior Carpenter, you will have:Certificate III in carpentry or equivalent qualification and/or experienceMinimum 7 years' experience as carpenter within the construction industry including experience in running projects solo and supervising junior carpenters and other trades workersAbility to safely use a range of power and other tools including drills, saws, multi-tool, orbital sander, nail guns, planers, etc.Ability to read and interpret architectural plansHigh level of communication skills and ability to explain and negotiateAbility to work confidently at heights (for example on roof structures)Clean driver licenceBuilder's licence / supervisor's certificate advantageousSummary of role requirements:Looking for candidates available to work:Monday: Evening, Afternoon, MorningTuesday: Evening, Afternoon, MorningWednesday: Evening, Afternoon, MorningThursday: Evening, Afternoon, MorningFriday: Evening, Afternoon, MorningSaturday: Evening, Afternoon, MorningSunday: Evening, Afternoon, MorningMore than 4 years of relevant work experience required for this roleWork visa can be provided for this roleExpected start date for role: 21 November 2024Expected salary: $75,000 per year #J-18808-Ljbffr
